Brand Story

From Thread, a Story Begins

Every piece in our collection began as a kimono — worn at celebrations, passed between generations, each thread carrying memory.

We source the rarest vintage kimonos from Japan's estate auctions and family treasuries. Pieces that have survived a hundred years deserve a second century.

Our atelier in Kyoto transforms these textiles into contemporary garments — not replicas, not costumes, but wearable art that honors the original while creating something entirely new.

This is not fast fashion. This is slow craft. Each piece takes weeks to complete, and only one will ever exist.

Why ITOKARA

Three Generations

Our family has collected and preserved kimonos for three generations. We know which pieces are truly rare.

Sustainable Luxury

Zero new materials. Every thread already existed. This is the most sustainable luxury you can wear.

True One of a Kind

No two pieces are alike. When your piece is gone, it's gone. This is scarcity by nature, not by design.

The List Opens Once.

When the first collection is announced, waitlist members get 48-hour early access — and first right of refusal on every piece.

Collectors from New York, London, and Tokyo are already on the list.

No spam. No pressure. Just early access.
